Tennessee PTA will be racing into Kingsport!
On your mark, get set, go! This is the theme for our 95th annual Tennessee PTA Convention. We will be in
Kingsport at the beautiful MeadowView Resort in the mountains of East Tennessee. The resort offers something for the
whole family. A championship 18 hole golf course, volleyball court, Starbucks coffee in the Courtyard Cafe`, seasonal
heated outdoor pool, and gym await visitors. There are also many nearby attractions you may wish to visit.
The Tennessee PTA has planned carefully to present workshops that will sharpen and enhance your leadership skills.
Take advantage of this opportunity to network, participate, and celebrate your successes. I am extremely pleased that
Jan Harp Domene will be our National PTA representative. Be there to help us welcome Jan back to Tennessee.
For the first time, we will offer a Walk for Healthy Kids on Friday morning on the golf course pathway. Let us show
Tennessee that we support physical fitness for our children and youth. Setting an example is the best way to show our
youth the importance of good health.
The volunteers in the Tri-Cities area are working hard to ensure that your visit is meaningful and memorable. Mark the
dates on your calendar and plan to join us.
Remember, the deadline to take advantage of the Convention Pre-Registration offer and to make your hotel reservations
is Tuesday, April 1, 2008. We encourage you to take advantage of the savings by registering early.
